About this care
Welcome to KC De Ceder, our after-school care (BSO) located on the grounds of De Ceder Primary School at Larikslaan 1A in Veenendaal. As part of Kwink B.V., we provide before- and after-school care for up to 44 children aged 4 to 12. Our spacious, modern facility features its own gym with a sports instructor and an adventurous outdoor area where children can move, play and explore after school.
We believe that children who feel good develop optimally. That’s why we create a warm atmosphere with plenty of personal attention. We give children space to take initiative, climb and scramble, fall down and get back up again. Laughing together and colouring outside the lines once in a while – that’s what we believe in.
Our team of pedagogical staff is ready every day to give children a pleasant and safe time after school. We work closely with De Ceder Primary School, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Our activities are tailored to children’s experiences and offer plenty of challenge and relaxation after a day at school.

Summary
KC De Ceder in Veenendaal, an after-school care (BSO) for up to 44 children aged 7 to 13, was inspected on 13 April 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Utrecht region. The location meets all assessed requirements following a recovery offer. During the initial visit, pedagogical practice was inadequate: there was unrest, staff set inconsistent boundaries and responded too slowly to children's signals. There were conflicts, rough behavior, and a relaxed atmosphere was lacking. After a recovery offer with an action plan, including strengthening of structure and interaction skills, the location was revisited on 18 May 2026. Recovery was successful: the mealtime proceeded amicably and staff engaged adequately with children. All other areas (personnel, safety, parental rights) were compliant from the outset.
