About this care
BSO De Hooizolder is located at Nozemanstraat 71 in Rotterdam Delfshaven. As part of Stichting Humankind, we provide after-school care for up to 58 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location is housed in a beautiful building together with Vierambachtschool, in the heart of Rotterdam Delfshaven.
We are open Monday through Friday from 07:30 to 18:30, offering parents flexibility for before and after school care. As a BSO, we focus entirely on supporting school-age children in primary education.

Strengths
- All children in the younger groups now wear a Humankind vest during school pickup
- Digital pickup lists are used correctly and children are counted before departure

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) Rotterdam-Rijnmond conducted an unannounced follow-up inspection at after-school care (BSO) De Hooizolder in Rotterdam on 10 September 2026. This inspection focused on the safety and health policy, which was found to be inadequate during the annual inspection on 13 February 2026. The violation identified at that time concerned the absence of Humankind vests for some children in the younger groups during school pickup. At this repeat inspection, it was found that the location had purchased additional vests and that all children now wear a vest correctly. Staff members act in accordance with the policy and use digital pickup lists. The violation has been resolved. The GGD advises the municipality of Rotterdam not to take enforcement measures.
