Summary
This follow-up inspection at childminder/host parent (gastouder) T. Koster Schmidt in Julianadorp, conducted on 1 July 2024, focused on a previously identified shortcoming: the care location was not smoke-free at all times. During the regular inspection on 6 March 2024, a smoke odour was detected and the childminder/host parent (gastouder) was found to be smoking in the utility room when no children in care were present. Following a formal notice from the municipality of Den Helder, the childminder/host parent (gastouder) stopped smoking as of April 2024, supported by a nicotine replacement product. During the follow-up inspection, no smoke odour was detectable. The shortcoming has been fully resolved.
