Ahoy, little sailors! Welcome to daycare De Kinderkajuit. Our facility is a cozy and safe haven for the very youngest. A place to discover the world by experiencing and exploring. Will you come aboard too?
At daycare De Kinderkajuit every child feels at home. We have two groups: one for 0 to 2 years and one for 2 to 4 years. So your child will always find a nice, suitable place with us. We are a facility with possibilities, we can say, because we are located in Kulturhus Dok Zuid, together with a playgroup, after-school care, and even the CODA. We work together with PCBO het Kompas and Sebastiaanschool. A cozy and educational environment! With exciting play corners, a large hall to play together and a cozy craft studio, it's great fun inside.
Actively doing and actively exploring. Playing outside, splashing in puddles and getting dirty. That's allowed, because we have enough overalls and boots! We also often walk to the market or Zuiderpark, it's just around the corner.

Summary
GGD Noord- en Oost-Gelderland conducted an unannounced inspection on 7 October 2025 of daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Kinderkajuit, operated by Stichting Doomijn in Apeldoorn. The center accommodates 30 children in two core groups (ages 0–2 and 2–4 years) within the multifunctional DokZuid building. All assessed areas — pedagogical climate, staff/groups and parental rights — meet statutory requirements. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The staff-to-child ratio was correct during the visit, all staff hold valid diplomas, Certificates of Good Conduct (VOGs) and infant training, and the language of instruction is Dutch. The pedagogical policy is up to date and adhered to; parents can find information, the complaints procedure and parent committee on the website. The annual complaints report was submitted on time. The location will not receive a recovery offer, and the municipality of Apeldoorn is advised not to undertake enforcement action.
