About this care
BSO De Waterlelie is located inside the building of OBS De Waterlelie at Spanjaardstraat 27 in Rotterdam. We provide after-school care for up to 50 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location features three spacious group rooms where children can play, relax and learn new things after school and during school holidays.
We follow the pedagogical policy of Kiddoozz Kinderopvang, which puts the development of each child at the center. Our qualified staff provide a warm and safe environment where children can be themselves. We use a horizontal group structure, organizing children into age groups to best match their developmental stage.
Our activities are varied and challenging. These include arts and crafts, outdoor play, sports and games, as well as quiet moments with books or board games. During holidays we organize extra outings and themed days. We work closely with the primary school to ensure a seamless transition between school time and after-school care.

Strengths

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected the after-school care (BSO) De Waterlelie in Rotterdam on 10 July 2026. This follow-up investigation followed an earlier inspection on 10 February 2026, during which violations were identified regarding the safety and health policy and the duty to report, consult, and file notifications (MOA). The MOA is now in order: staff know how to act when abuse is suspected. However, the safety and health policy still does not comply. Thermometers are missing in the groups to monitor the temperature, and the refrigerators are too warm (9-10°C, while a maximum of 4°C is required). Documents also differ on the temperature limits at which measures are required. The holder has ordered new thermometers, which have since been delivered. The GGD advises enforcement.
