About this care
At Hutspot, we offer after-school care and holiday care for children aged 4 to 12. Our care is available to pupils from various schools in Rotterdam, including the Vrijeschool Rotterdam-West, the Harbour Bilingual, the Harbour International, the van Oldenbarneltschool, the Rotterdamse Montessorischool (7+) and the Vierambacht (7+).
We offer a wide range of activities, including dance, athletics, arts & crafts, cooking, sports and games, and much more. Our activities are aimed at providing a safe and stimulating environment where children can flourish and develop. We believe that this approach not only optimises children's developmental opportunities, but also brings calm and space into their lives and those of their families.
Our care is available on school days until 6:45 pm and during holidays from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. We strive to offer a place where children feel at home and where they can enjoy a varied programme of activities after school. BSO Hutspot Creatief is an activity-based after-school care (BSO) in Rotterdam for 25 children aged 7-13. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 11 December 2025. The location meets most quality requirements, including administration, pedagogical policy and practice, staff qualifications, safety policy and accommodation. One violation was identified: the stability of care for children. Because it is an activity-based BSO, children are not cared for in one fixed base group but switch per activity. The GGD recognizes mitigating circumstances because this is inherent to the activity-based concept. No recovery offer was made for this violation. The advice to the municipality is not to enforce.
