About this care
Welcome to the After-School Care (BSO) of Kindcentrum De Nieuwe Draai, located at Merelweg 44 in Heerhugowaard. As part of Stichting Blosse, we provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 years in a modern, integral child center that opened on August 3, 2020. Our location is open 52 weeks per year from 07:30 to 18:00, allowing us to flexibly accommodate school hours and parents' work schedules.
Our BSO is part of an integral child center where education, childcare, and toddler care come together under one roof. This unique concept enables us to offer a continuous development line for children from 0 to 13 years. For after-school care, this means children remain in their familiar environment while enjoying relaxation, play, and activities after school hours.
We work with the 'Konnect' app through which parents stay informed about drop-off and pick-up times, holidays, and news updates. This digital communication tool ensures transparency and easy contact between parents and our pedagogical staff. Our location accommodates up to 130 children and has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since August 17, 2023, under number 839612576.
As part of Stichting Blosse, we fall under an overarching board that manages 27 schools and child centers with a total of 6,690 students. This broad network enables us to share expertise and continuously innovate in our approach to after-school care.Read more

- Safety and health policy is up to date, and staff members are actively involved in developing and evaluating it
- Domestic violence and child abuse reporting protocol has been established and knowledge is being promoted
- Parents are well informed and the complaints procedure meets the requirements
- Annual complaints report was submitted on time and the location is affiliated with a disputes committee
Violations
- Staff consultation option: staff members are unaware that they can contact the confidential inspector if they suspect abuse by the owner or person with ultimate responsibility

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected after-school care (BSO) De Nieuwe Draai in Heerhugowaard on 27 July 2026. The location, part of Stichting Blosse opvang, offers 130 childcare places in 5 base groups. Overall, the location largely complies with legislation and regulations. Strong points include the good Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) registration, the safety and health policy in which staff members are actively involved, the domestic violence reporting protocol, and the complaints handling. However, one violation was identified: staff members are insufficiently aware of their option to consult and duty to file charges when suspecting abuse by the owner. The location manager has committed to discussing this in a team meeting after the summer holidays. No recovery offer was made during the draft phase; the violation remains. The GGD advises enforcement.
