About this care
Welcome to after-school care De Helix, located at Oosterweg Noord 39 in Heerhugowaard. We are part of IKC De Helix, an integral child center where education and childcare seamlessly connect. Our after-school care is located within the school building, allowing children to play and relax in a familiar environment after school hours.
Children can walk to our after-school care independently, with supervision provided for younger children. This way, they stay in their familiar environment with known faces and friends. We collaborate with Allente childcare, who is responsible for the pedagogical guidance. Our location provides care before and after school hours, as well as during school holidays.
As part of IKC De Helix, we contribute to the broad development of children in a safe environment. We lay a solid foundation so that children can participate independently in society. Summary
After-school care (BSO) De Helix in Heerhugowaard was inspected by GGD Hollands Noorden on 26 August 2026. The location provides care for 44 children aged 4 to 13 years in 2 base groups. Although the pedagogical climate and pedagogical practice were assessed positively, a violation was identified in the domain of personnel and groups. Two staff members were found not to be registered and linked in the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang/PRK) while they had been deployed. This is a recurring problem within the organisation Allente that has also been identified at other locations. The holder acknowledges the violation in their response and promises to tighten controls.
