About this care
De Hoftuyn is an after-school care location of FloreoKids in Leiderdorp. We are located at Leeuwerikstraat 8 and provide before-school, after-school, and holiday care for children aged 4 to 12. Our location is integrated into Brede School West, which allows us to work closely with Daltonschool de Leeuwerik and public school Prins Willem Alexander.
We provide after-school care in 5 groups with a maximum capacity of 100 child places. Our pedagogical staff are ready to provide children with a safe and stimulating environment after school and during holidays. We offer customized care, tailored to the needs of both children and parents.
During school weeks, we are open for before-school care from when schools start, and for after-school care until 7:00 PM. During school holidays, we provide holiday care from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a varied program of activities that match the interests and development of the children.
Our location is equipped with spacious, bright group rooms and a safe play environment. We work from the FloreoKids vision, where we give children the space to discover and develop their talents at their own pace and in their own way.Read more

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected after-school care (BSO) De Hoftuyn in Leiderdorp on 21 November 2025. The location meets the statutory quality requirements regarding pedagogical policy, staff and groups, and safety and health. However, a violation was identified in the Wielewaaltje/Koningsnest group: the pedagogical practice did not meet the requirements for emotional safety and parent communication. The staff member showed limited engagement, responded inadequately to children in distress, and took no active role in handover to parents. Following a recovery offer, the provider implemented an action plan with coaching, group observations, and improved communication. The violation has been remedied. The Winterkoninkjes group meets requirements without remarks. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
