About this care
Welcome to BSO de Brink, part of Kindcentrum De Brink located at Kastanjelaan 6 in Leiderdorp. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a warm, safe and versatile environment. Our location is part of a broad school, where education and childcare seamlessly connect. This creates a familiar place where children can develop at their own pace and in their own way.
Our BSO is located on the first and second floors of the building. We have spacious group rooms, a crafts classroom and a cozy cooking café where children can cook and be creative together. In addition, we have two outdoor play areas and regularly use the De Does sports hall for sports and games activities. This allows children to play and explore both indoors and outdoors.
We work with horizontal groups, divided into age categories: 3 groups for children aged 4 to 5, 1 group for 6 to 8 years and 2 groups for 8 to 12 years. This ensures a safe and age-appropriate environment where children feel understood in their development. Our activities are tailored to the interests of the children and range from yoga and music lessons to cooking, crafts and sports outings. We are also open during school holidays and regularly organize fun excursions.

Summary
The annual inspection of 30 April 2026 at after-school care (BSO) de Brink in Leiderdorp shows predominantly positive results. The after-school care of Floreokids accommodates 120 children aged 4 to 12 years. In two of the three examined areas – pedagogical climate and staff and groups – all quality requirements are met. The pedagogical climate is characterised by a challenging and structured programme in which children develop independent skills, as illustrated by a cooking activity and tidying up together. The staff hold the correct qualifications and the child ratio is in order. In safety and health, one violation was initially identified: staff had insufficient knowledge of the protocol for a missing child. Following a recovery offer, this protocol has been tightened with clear task allocation and contact details, and knowledge will be discussed during a team meeting and tested at a later date. The shortcoming has thereby been resolved. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises no enforcement action.
