About this care
Welcome to Dak Koningin Emma, our atmospheric daycare center located at Koningin Emmakade 119 in the Regentessekwartier district of The Hague. We provide childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a homely and safe environment. Our location is situated on the ground floor and first floor of a characteristic building, where we work with small groups to provide personal attention.
At Dak Koningin Emma, we offer Preschool Education (VE), specifically designed for children aged 2.5 to 4 years. Our pedagogical staff pay extra attention to language development and social skills during play and learning activities. This optimally prepares your child for primary school. We collaborate with local primary schools to ensure a smooth transition.

- The offer of 960 early education hours over eighteen months is comfortably exceeded (2,340 hours available)

- Safety and health policy is adequate, including protocols for missing children and safe sleeping
- The accommodation is appropriately furnished
- Staff registration and Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) records are in order

Summary
Dak Koningin Emma is a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Den Haag with 102 places for children aged 0 to 4 years, part of Stichting DAK kindercentra. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 21 May 2026. The location scores well overall on pedagogical climate, safety, accommodation, and personnel matters. Early childhood education using the Uk & Puk programme was offered in the toddler group Rode Papegaai. One violation was identified: a staff member could not demonstrate that they met the IKK language requirement. The operator took immediate action by having the employee take language assessments, which were passed successfully on 25 June 2026. The violation has thereby been resolved.
