About this care
Windkracht 10 is an after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 13, located at Torenstraat 2A in Alphen aan den Rijn. We are part of Junis Kinderopvang and situated inside primary school De Windroos. Our pedagogical staff pick up the children on foot from nearby schools; for schools further away we use our own (bike) vans or cooperate with a taxi company.
Inside we have our own space with a castle, a dolls’ corner, plenty of Lego and a large games cupboard. We also have a gym where we regularly organise sports activities. We love going on excursions to playground Vreugdeoord, Park Rijnstroom or the library.
Before school we start the day together at the breakfast club: having breakfast and playing for a while before school starts. After school we are open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 15:15 to 18:30. During school holidays we offer care on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 07:30 to 18:30. On Wednesday and Friday care is provided at BSO Servatius.

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 18 June 2026 at after-school care (BSO) Windkracht 10 in Alphen aan den Rijn. The location, part of Junis Kinderopvang, provides care for 44 children aged 4 to 7 years in two group rooms at the premises of primary school De Windroos. The inspection report is predominantly positive. In all assessed areas – pedagogical climate and staff and groups – the location meets legal requirements. No shortcomings, areas for improvement, or violations were identified. The pedagogical practice demonstrates a relaxed, open atmosphere in which staff interact with children in a sensitive and responsive manner. Children are encouraged in their independence through choices and a recognisable structure. Staff hold the correct qualifications, Certificates of Good Conduct (VOG), and language proficiency certificates. The staff-to-child ratio was in order on the day of inspection. The GGD advises the municipality not to take enforcement measures.
