Koraaleiland

BSO Koraaleiland is a safe and inspiring place where children aged 4 to 12 can play, learn and relax after school. We are located at IJsselmeerstraat 136 in Den Helder and are part of Monter Kinderopvang. With two horizontal groups, we provide care for up to 38 children. Our location is situated between primary schools De Duynvaerder and De Fontein, making the transition from school to after-school care short and familiar. Our qualified pedagogical staff welcome the children warmly and guide them in their development. We offer both structure and freedom: after a busy school day, children can choose to play quietly, be creative, move around outside or simply unwind. We work with fixed daily routines and clear agreements so that children know what to expect. The spaces at BSO Koraaleiland are set up with different corners: a construction area, a quiet reading corner, a creative table and a space for board games. We have a safe indoor and outdoor area where children can run, cycle or play football. When the weather is nice, we spend a lot of time outside. We believe it is important that children feel free to choose what they want to do, but we also offer guided activities such as sports and games, crafts or cooking. BSO Koraaleiland works closely with the nearby schools. We pick up children from De Duynvaerder and De Fontein and ensure a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Parents are kept informed of their child's development through our parent app. We are open to questions and think along with parenting. Together with parents, we ensure that every child feels safe and valued with us.
