Summary

BSO De Fontein in Den Helder, part of Kappio, was inspected unannounced on 31 July 2026 by GGD Hollands Noorden (Municipal Health Service). The after-school care (BSO) accommodates 44 children aged 4 to 13 years in two base groups. All assessed requirements regarding pedagogical climate and staff and groups have been met. The pedagogical practice showed strong points: staff know children personally, encourage social behavior, and communicate proactively with parents. The training requirements, VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct) registration in the PRK, and deployment of the pedagogical policy staff member/coach also comply with the law. No areas for improvement or violations were identified. The advice to the municipality is no enforcement action.
