About this care
KC Almen is our after-school care location in the heart of Almen, located at Dorpsstraat 37. We provide care for up to 21 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since January 1, 2010 under number 178279201. As part of childcare Eigen-Wijs, we stand for small-scale, homely care where every child has the space to be themselves. Our pedagogical staff create a safe and familiar environment where children can relax, play and discover new things after school. We work from trust in the children's own strength and give them space to make choices in their activities. Our location in Almen is easily accessible and centrally located in the village. The annual inspection of after-school care (BSO) KC Almen in Almen, conducted on 15 June 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Noord- en Oost-Gelderland, presents a positive picture. The after-school care, which became part of Juut & Co Kinderopvang B.V. this year, meets all assessed quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and accommodation. The care location provides places for 21 children aged 4 to 13 years in the Ons Almen community centre. During the inspection, staffing levels were sufficient and all employees hold the required diplomas and Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) declarations. The holder submitted an application to expand to 24 childcare places by using part of the central hall. The GGD has approved this as the space meets the requirements. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
