About this care
BSO 2Giraffen is located in the Valkenboskwartier, inside the Public Montessori School Valkenbos at Cederstraat 29 in The Hague. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 years, fully aligned with the Montessori vision. Our partnership with Christelijke Montessorischool De Abeel and Openbare Montessorischool Valkenbos ensures a seamless transition between school and care.
Our location features six spacious, bright themed rooms and a private playground. Children can get creative in the art studio, relax in the living room, or build in the construction area. We offer a wide range of activities, from sports and games to creative workshops. During holidays, we run the 2Samen KICKS programme with educational and active outings such as survival and camp days.
We provide after-school care until 18:00 and before-school care from 07:30 to 08:30 on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. During school holidays, we are open from 07:30 to 18:00. Unfortunately, this BSO is currently full and not accepting new registrations.Read more

Summary
BSO 2Giraffen in 's-Gravenhage provides after-school care (BSO) for up to 140 children aged 4-12 years in 6 groups. The location works in partnership with two Montessori schools. During the annual inspection on 22 January 2025, all assessed quality requirements were met without exception. The pedagogical policy is implemented in practice as agreed, staff are correctly registered and hold Certificates of Good Conduct (VOG), the safety and health policy is current and adhered to, and parents receive clear information through the website, parent portal and conversations. There is an active joint parent committee and an effective complaints procedure. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
