About this care

AI
BSO De Groenling is located on the ground floor of primary school De Groenling at Burgemeester Snaterlaan 68C in Oude Pekela. We are an after-school care facility for children aged 4 to 13 and are part of Stichting Tamariki. Our location can accommodate up to 30 children and has been registered in the National Childcare Register under number 325531511 since 1 August 2016. We provide both before-school care (VSO) and after-school care (NSO). In the morning, children are welcome from 07:45 for a healthy school breakfast supplied by the local Jumbo supermarket; this before-school care is free of charge. At the end of the school day, our pedagogical staff are ready to receive the children until 18:00. During school holidays and study days, we are open every weekday from 07:30 to 18:00, so parents can rely on us throughout the year. Our rooms are situated right next to the classrooms, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Children have access to safe indoor areas and the adjacent playground. We work closely with De Groenling primary school and OBS Hendrik Wester, keeping the line between school and care short. Summary

The annual inspection of after-school care (BSO) De Groenling in Oude Pekela, conducted on 9 February 2026, presents a positive picture. The after-school care, located in the central hall of a school building with 30 places for children aged 4 to 13, meets all assessed statutory quality requirements. The pedagogical practice is characterized by a warm, relaxed atmosphere in which staff respond adequately to children and offer them autonomy. Notable is the improvement compared to last year: following earlier feedback, measures have been taken to better support stimulus-sensitive children, including more separation from the hallway and more cozy, enclosed corners.
