Shortcomings

• Clarify in the pedagogical policy that 4-year-old children from BSO Sport are cared for on days when BSO Art is closed
• Ensure adequate supervision of the game room to be able to promptly correct unwanted behavior (such as playing with weapons)
• Ensure that a staff member is immediately available when a child arrives independently and their own staff member has not yet returned from pick-up
• Continue following up on the action plan for maintenance and repair of rooms and materials

Violations

• Neighborhood sports coach was not registered in a timely manner in the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang/PRK) (remedied on 23 June 2026)

Summary

BSO Sport in Almere, part of Saffana's Kinderopvang B.V., received an unannounced follow-up inspection on 21 May 2026 to investigate previously identified violations. The two shortcomings from the September 2025 annual inspection—not operating in accordance with the pedagogical policy and insufficient pedagogical practice—have been sufficiently remedied. The group atmosphere has noticeably improved through team consultation, coaching, and concrete agreements. One new shortcoming was identified: a neighborhood sports coach was not registered in a timely manner in the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang/PRK). This registration has since been completed (23 June 2026) and the working method has been adjusted. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises against enforcement, as this concerns an isolated incident without risk to children.
