Welcome to BSO Fidelio, our small-scale after-school care centre at Van Egmondstraat 7 in Haarlem-Noord. Formerly known as BSO Monteverdi, we lovingly provide after-school care for up to 10 children each afternoon. Our aim is to offer a home-like atmosphere where every child can simply be themselves. We collect children every school day from De Vrije School Kleverpark, De Vrije School De Lindeboom and De Vrije School Kennemerland—on foot, by cargo bike or by car. Afterwards it is time to relax and explore. Our spacious garden with climbing frame, slide and football goals invites running, jumping and playing. Indoors children can do crafts, make music, read on the sofa or just do nothing at all. Homework support and practising for their own music lesson are also possible. Children are free to choose what they want to do. We follow a clear daily rhythm: around 3 p.m. drinks and fruit, then a joint activity or outdoor play, and around 4.30 p.m. a cracker with tea or fruit water. During school holidays and study days we are open all day, except between Christmas and New Year and the middle two weeks of the summer holiday. Our team consists of qualified, caring staff who create a safe, warm place every afternoon where play is taken seriously. We apply the general terms and conditions of the Branch Organisation for Childcare and are affiliated with the Childcare Disputes Committee.
