About this care
Blokkendoos is an after-school care facility (BSO) run by KOSMO Kinderopvang, located at Godfried Bomansstraat 28 in Nijverdal. We provide care for children from the age of 7 in a welcoming community building on the edge of the ‘de Blokken’ neighbourhood.
Inside we have a spacious group room and a kitchen where children can do crafts, play games or enjoy colouring. Soon we will be adding robotics to our programme, giving children the chance to learn programming and discover technological skills.
Outside there is a large playground where children can climb, clamber and play football. We also make use of a nearby public playground, especially for the older children. Nature and outdoor play are central to our approach.
We are open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 14:30 to 18:00. We work closely with Prinses Marijkeschool, whose pupils use our after-school care.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) Twente conducted an annual inspection on 29 January 2026 at after-school care (BSO) Blokkendoos in Nijverdal, part of KOSMO West-Twente B.V. The location provides care for a maximum of 27 children aged 4 to 12 years. Overall, the provider meets the legal requirements. The pedagogical practice is assessed positively: there is a relaxed atmosphere, children show enjoyment and staff members are sensitive and responsive. There is also full compliance regarding personnel, parental rights and the reporting code for domestic violence. However, a violation was identified in the area of safety and health: the CO₂ level in the childcare room was approximately 1500 ppm and new employees did not know how to respond to elevated levels. Following a recovery offer, the provider has remedied the ventilation policy, maintained a logbook and discussed the policy with the team. The GGD advises the municipality of Hellendoorn not to take enforcement measures.
