About this care
Welcome to toddler care Boschkabouter, part of Op Stoom located at Adriaan Pauwlaan 19 in Heemstede. With us, everything revolves around having fun and discovering. Time flies when you're a toddler and there's so much to do! We do drama, make music, enjoy sports and explore nature. We also craft endlessly with challenging materials that turn your child into a Kapla master builder in no time or teach them how to collaborate.
Our large, cozily furnished space offers numerous themed corners, a separate playroom, a painting board and a kitchen corner where children love to play. We tell captivating stories and sing songs until we're hoarse. Doing things together is something our toddlers are already good at! We work with the VVE program 'Playful Fun' which focuses on speech and language development in a playful way, tailored to each child's world of experience.
Our pedagogical staff pay great attention to your child's development. We communicate through the web portal and Parent App from Konnect, so you won't miss any of your child's adventures. When dropping off, we love to hear what your child has experienced at home and when picking up, we proudly tell you about all the day's adventures.Read more

Summary
The annual unannounced inspection on 4 June 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) PO Boschkabouter Op Stoom in Heemstede shows that the location meets all assessed quality requirements. The inspection focused on pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health with emphasis on health and hygiene. The pedagogical policy is implemented well and staff provide emotional security and stimulate children's development. The safety and health policy is up to date and being followed; playground equipment is inspected and checked annually. There are three new permanent staff members since September 2025. The location manager is responsible for three locations. There is currently no parent committee. At the previous inspection in September 2025, there were two violations regarding safety and health, which have since been resolved following a recovery offer. The indoor climate was discussed as a point of attention.
