About this care
Welcome to Basker (formerly BLOS) daycare in Amsterdam Centrum-Oost. Our location at Blankenstraat 2 is housed in a monumental building that has been fully renovated. Large windows provide plenty of daylight, and the group rooms offer babies and toddlers all the space they need to discover the world through play.
We challenge children every day with engaging activities such as crafting, music, dancing, and children's workshops. Our permanent, familiar pedagogical staff make every day special. We love spending time outdoors: children can play in our spacious garden. Adjacent to our daycare, the Municipality of Amsterdam has opened a discovery playground of over 1500 m². We also regularly go on outings in the neighborhood.
Our location is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We are located in the Czaar Peterbuurt, near Artis and the Scheepvaartmuseum. Special features include warm meals, baby and toddler yoga, exercise books, a baby garden, vegetable garden, and a child-friendly outdoor area. - Recognise signs of fatigue in children in a timely manner and respond appropriately (specifically regarding settling-in child who was kept awake)
- Assistant location manager was not aware of toddler group outing on inspection day
