About this care
Voorschool De Kraai is a preschool facility operated by Dynamo Amsterdam, located at Kraijenhoffstraat 32 in the heart of Amsterdam. We provide professional preschool education for children aged 2 to 4 years in a safe and stimulating environment. Our location is specially designed to optimally prepare toddlers for primary school, with attention to both cognitive and social development.
At Voorschool De Kraai, we work with a horizontal group structure, where children are grouped by age. This allows us to specifically address the developmental needs of this particular age group. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in guiding toddlers and maintain a ratio of at least one caregiver per eight children, with at least two staff members present for larger groups.
We offer both half-day and full-day care, flexibly responding to parents' needs. Our preschool education programs are designed to prepare children for primary school through play, with special attention to language development, social skills, and independence. The facility features spacious group areas and its own outdoor playground directly adjacent to the group spaces, which is ideal for outdoor activities and play.
Voorschool De Kraai is part of Dynamo Amsterdam, an organization committed to quality childcare and preschool education in Amsterdam. We are open to all children and parents in the city and work from an inclusive approach. For more information or a tour, please contact us at peuters@dynamo-amsterdam.nl or call 020-4609300.Read more

- Sufficient qualified substitute staff members with appropriate diplomas and early childhood education (VVE) certificates
- Good cooperation with primary school Oostelijke Eilanden and parental involvement

Summary
Preschool De Kraai in Amsterdam, part of Stichting Dynamo Voorscholen, was inspected unannounced on 13 January 2026. The preschool provides early childhood education to 16 children aged 2 to 4 years, 5 mornings per week. The pedagogical practice is positive: there is a warm, safe atmosphere with consistent routines, and the substitute staff members provide high-quality care with attention to language development and social skills. However, a violation was identified: due to prolonged illness of all three permanent staff members, no mentor allocation had been made for the substitutes, meaning children had no assigned mentor. The team manager received a recovery offer and drew up an action plan with scenarios for mentor allocation during illness. The violation has now been resolved: a new staff member is starting and mentor allocation will be finalized on 10 February 2026. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises against enforcement measures.
