This inspection report concerns a registration investigation for childminder/host parent care (gastouderopvang) Zijl in Castricum, conducted by GGD Hollands Noorden. The childminder will provide care for a maximum of 6 children at the host parent's address. During the inspection visit on 29 May 2026, one violation was identified: a smoke detector was missing in the bedroom that serves as an escape route. This was discussed with the childminder and host parent, after which a recovery offer was made. Prior to final determination of the report, a photograph was received showing that the smoke detector has been installed. All other assessed requirements were met immediately, including pedagogical principles, expertise, accommodation, and safety measures.
