About this care
Voorschool De Meerbeer is located on the ground floor of Brede Daltonschool De Meer at Van 't Hofflaan 52 in Amsterdam-Oost. We are a small-scale preschool with one group that welcomes up to 16 children aged 2 to 4 years. Our service is half-day care only: children can attend from 8:15 AM to 1:35 PM. De Meerbeer follows the VVE programme Startblokken. This means we work thematically and offer activities that connect with the world of experience of young children, such as 'Traffic', 'Gardening' or 'Grocery shopping'. Through play, we stimulate language development, social skills and independence. We have a continuous learning line with the primary school. Our pedagogical staff ensure a good transfer to primary school. The group is a beautiful reflection of the neighbourhood, with children from different cultures learning and playing together. We work with two regular pedagogical staff members per session. In addition, trainees sometimes join us to provide extra attention. For new children and parents, we have a gentle settling-in period: the first time a parent stays along, after which we gradually reduce this at the child's pace. Settling in
First time at a daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV)? That's an adjustment for your child. And for you! That's why we let your child get used to the group at a gentle pace. The first time, you as a parent stay with your child at the daycare center. After that, we evaluate together how things are going, so that your child gradually learns to stay in the group independently and becomes familiar with our location, the other children, and our childcare staff. The settling-in period (wenperiode) is different for everyone, and we tailor it to your needs. Your child is given the time to feel comfortable in the group.

Telefonisch zeer slecht bereikbaar, daarnaast is het hek, van het speelplaats buiten, zeer kort waardoor er makkelijk overheen geklimd kan worden door...
