Gastouderland has nationwide coverage with 23 locations throughout the Netherlands. Each region has its own consultant who is active locally and has access to a large database of qualified childminders. Our locations operate regionally and are spread across all provinces, from Groningen to Limburg and from Zeeland to Friesland.
Gastouderland meets all requirements of the Childcare Act and is inspected annually by the Municipal Health Service (GGD). All childminders are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) and Childcare Persons Register (PRK). Childminders and household members hold a Certificate of Conduct (VOG). A risk assessment for safety and health is carried out annually at each childcare location. Gastouderland has an internal and external complaints procedure and is a member of the Disputes Committee.

Summary
GGD Fryslân conducted a registration inspection on 28 May 2026 at childminder V. Jansma, located at Midstraat 52 in Joure, commissioned by the municipality of De Fryske Marren. This concerned a 'Strict at the Gate' (Streng aan de Poort) investigation for childminder care (gastouderopvang) through childminder agency Gastouderland Midden Friesland. The inspection comprised document review, a home visit and an interview with the childminder. The childminder meets all assessed quality requirements, including registration, pedagogical climate, expertise, accommodation, safety and health. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The risk assessment has been adequately prepared and an ongoing renovation is being properly monitored. The childminder agency has been given the opportunity to submit a response to the report.
