About this care
UniKidz Aker is an after-school care facility located at Cycladenlaan 2 in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. We are situated inside primary school De Odyssee, which gives us access to the school's facilities. Our BSO provides care for up to 72 children aged 4 to 13 years. We work closely together with primary school De Odyssee to ensure a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since August 1, 2021, under number 198712339. At UniKidz Aker, we provide a safe and stimulating environment where children can play, discover, and relax after school. GGD inspection on 5 August 2025 at UniKidz Aker, an after-school care (BSO) at primary school De Odyssee (max. 72 children). All quality requirements were met; no violations or areas for improvement were identified. The location provides a safe and stimulating environment with fixed routines, age-appropriate activity corners (construction, play, craft and tech spaces), and sufficient outdoor materials. All staff are qualified and registered in the PRK; on school-free days, work may continue with fewer supervisors for a maximum of 3 hours provided one adult remains in the building. There is an active parent committee of 3 members. The report was approved without comment; the municipality is advised to take note of the file only.
