Welcome to Thuishuis Bij Antine, a small-scale daycare centre in Warffum where every child is given the chance to be and become themselves. Our house is located at Westervalge 18, quietly situated next to Warffum’s park. From the main road you turn onto a calm lane with no busy traffic, surrounded by greenery. This safe, homely spot feels like a second home to us and to the children.
We care for a maximum of 32 children in one vertical group, where babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers play and learn together. This set-up brings calm and familiarity: every child has room to grow at their own pace, while older children encourage and comfort the younger ones. Our qualified staff know every child and every parent personally, creating a warm, trusting bond.
Security, independence and joy are central to our vision. We provide a safe base in which children are encouraged to explore and do things themselves. We help when needed, but above all we give space for personal choices and creativity. With durable, challenging materials children can build, craft, read or simply romp around in our garden that borders directly on the park. Early-years education (VE) is standard: we stimulate language, numeracy and social skills in playful ways, tailored to the world of 0- to 4-year-olds.
