Summary

This inspection report concerns a registration inspection of a new childminder/host parent care (gastouderopvang) location run by Ms Thijssen at Sneeuwhaasstraat 42 in Nijmegen. It involves day care and after-school care (naschoolse opvang) for a maximum of six children, through childminder agency ViaViela. The childminder has been registered in the LRK since 2019 and currently also provides care at another address. The inspection comprised document review, a site visit and an interview with the childminder. Pedagogical practice could not yet be assessed as the care provision had not yet started. All assessed elements meet the statutory requirements. The outdoor space has not yet been set up; children will temporarily play elsewhere in the neighbourhood. The risk assessment has been completed and measures such as stair gates and storing hazardous objects out of reach have already been taken.
