About this care
Talentencampus Eigen Wijs is a public Integrated Child Centre in Leeuwarden where daycare, preschool and education work closely together under one roof. Our daycare offers childcare for children aged 0-4 in a brand-new building on Verdistraat. We work in combination groups of babies, toddlers and preschoolers, so younger children can watch older children play and older children learn to interact with younger children.
We believe a good bond between your child and the qualified pedagogical staff, peace and appropriate challenge are important. We contribute to development and upbringing in your home situation and value a good relationship with you as parents/carers. Periodic mentor-parent-child conversations take place.
Young children learn differently than older children. They discover the world and gradually begin to understand it. We create space for experimentation in a safe environment and assume that a child can do much themselves. We provide conditions and opportunities to take the next step in development. We combine this with a clear daily structure, creating a recognisable daily rhythm. We provide rest moments and a low-stimulus space where children can retreat.
Children from age 2 are offered activities from the Uk & Puk methodology. Our motto is 'together where possible, separate where necessary' and we embrace the differences between children in characters and talents.Read more
