About this care
Kinderopvang De Toekomst in Leeuwarden has been offering daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) for children aged 0-4 since 16 September 2024, alongside after-school care (BSO). Our location is beautifully situated next to a large public playground where children can easily meet up with friends. We are housed in a multifunctional community building at Achlumerstraat 1A, which provides an accessible and creative environment.
What characterizes De Toekomst is the great atmosphere and sense of togetherness, both among the children themselves and between children and childcare staff. We have a large kitchen where we cook and bake, and a spacious hall for physical activities in the Toparrangement. On rainy days, we can always get plenty of exercise here. Children have lots of freedom to play and simply be children, while at the same time learning through play to be considerate of one another.
Through digital media, we keep parents informed about their child's experiences. Our childcare staff create a warm and safe environment where every child can be themselves. We work with fixed core groups, and each child has their own mentor who follows their development and tailors care to individual needs.Read more
