Welcome to daycare center 't Zonnetje, located at Tak van Poortvlietstraat 45 in the Bergpolder district of North Rotterdam. We are a daycare center for children aged 0 to 4 years and offer 69 childcare places in a beautiful, large building with a lovely nature garden right in the city.
At 't Zonnetje, we create a homely atmosphere where your child feels safe and secure. Our loving pedagogical staff guides your child in their development in a responsible manner. We are a flexible institution that adapts to the needs of both children and parents.
Our location features a beautiful nature garden where children can play and discover, right in the middle of the city. This green environment offers plenty of opportunities for natural play experiences and outdoor activities.

Summary
GGD inspection on 22-10-2025 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) 't Zonnetje (69 places, ages 0-4) in Rotterdam. All assessed quality requirements are now in order; last year (16-12-2024) there was still a violation regarding 'preschool education' because unqualified staff were deployed for five days. The location then received a warning from the municipality. In 2025 it was demonstrated that all pedagogical staff for preschool education now have the required certificate and language proficiency level 3F; new staff are immediately registered for the appropriate training, and in case of illness the daycare center exclusively requests qualified replacement staff. Furthermore, pedagogical policy, pedagogical practice (emotional security, stimulating development, norms and values), staff-child ratios, training requirements, VOG/PRK registration, domestic violence reporting protocol and complaints procedure are all in accordance with the law. A pedagogical policy officer and coach are actively deployed for quality assurance and team guidance. Parents are involved through parent meetings, app and newsletters; development is digitally tracked with KIJK!. No complaints in the past year. Municipality receives advice of 'no enforcement action'.
