Kindcentrum De Vrijvoeters is located at Bergselaan 346 in the Bergpolder district of Rotterdam-Noord. Once you pass through the gate, you are greeted by an oasis of calm. Our daycare center operates with vertical duo groups based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy and is housed in a beautiful, bright and playfully designed space. The natural garden is a large discovery area where children can run, climb, balance on tree trunks, slide down the slide or mess around in the sandbox. Inside there is a hall with discovery corners, a conservatory and an atelier where children can be creative. We provide full day care for children aged 0 to 4 years, including diapers and bottle feeding. Our pedagogical staff guide the children in their development with attention to involvement, well-being and sustainability. We work with Pre- and Early School Education (VVE) and attach great importance to parent involvement. Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection report of 25 August 2026 for daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Vrijvoeters in Rotterdam shows that the location once again fails to meet the training requirements for staff working with children under one year old. An unqualified staff member was deployed for more than three hours per day on multiple days in August 2026 in a baby group. The location had previously received a recovery offer after a similar violation in March 2026. While the provider has taken measures, the violation has not yet been fully resolved.
