About this care
Welcome to ’t Stekkie, our intimate preschool located in the heart of Zandvoort. We are based in the OBS De Zeevonk school building on the edge of the dunes, where the sea and nature are literally around the corner. This unique location not only offers our toddlers a safe and familiar environment, but also the opportunity to become acquainted with the school building at an early age. This way, they can confidently transition to the kindergarten classes later on.
Our preschool is specifically designed for children aged 2 to 4 years. We work with horizontal groups, where children come together in age groups. This provides recognition and stimulates development at the right level. We offer pre-school education (VE), where we playfully work on language development and other skills that are important for the transition to primary school.
We gratefully make use of the facilities that the school building offers us. The children can play in the large garden adjacent to the dunes, where they become acquainted with nature and the seasons. The gymnasium, library and vegetable garden of the school are also regularly part of our program. This way, toddlers learn through play in a familiar environment.
At ’t Stekkie, fun in play and development is central. We offer a warm, safe place where children can grow at their own pace. Parents can come to us for both half-day and full-day care, and thanks to our registration in the National Childcare Register, childcare allowance is possible.Read more

Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) 't Stekkie in Zandvoort was inspected unannounced on 24 March 2026 by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Kennemerland. The location provides care for 16 children aged 2-4 years and is part of Stichting Kinderdagverblijven Pippeloentje-Pluk. This annual inspection found that the location meets all assessed quality requirements, including pedagogical policy, pedagogical practice, staff qualifications, pre-school education, and parental rights. Previous inspections in 2023, 2024, and 2025 showed shortcomings, including unlinked Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) checks, missing qualifications for pre-school education, an insufficiently concrete training plan, and a deficient parent committee. In those cases, the license holder made use of recovery offers, after which the violations were resolved. The current inspection demonstrates that these improvements have been sustainably implemented.
