About this care
At Kinderopvang 't Schaapie, we offer a warm and homely environment for children aged 0 to 12 years. Our philosophy is built on accessibility and professionalism, with each child's development at the heart of everything we do. We believe that children learn best in a safe and loving environment, where they have the space to play and discover at their own pace.
Our approach is tailored to the age and needs of each child. We involve parents in everything we do, so that together we can provide the best possible care. Children learn to play together, share, and have fun, which helps them explore the outside world with confidence. Our team consists of skilled and dedicated staff who work with passion, ensuring that children learn new skills in a way that suits them.
We offer a range of activities focused on children's development, including music and movement, outdoor activities, and arts and crafts. Our rates are all-inclusive and cover meals, snacks, nappies, and group activities (formula milk and special dietary requirements not included). The daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Interested families are always welcome to request a no-obligation tour to experience the atmosphere and meet our team.Read more

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) Kennemerland conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 29 April 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) 't Schaapie in Haarlem. The location provides care for 68 children aged 0-4 years in an old church with three floors. Although there are positive developments, the location is not demonstrably compliant with all assessed quality requirements. A recovery offer has been given for repeated shortcomings in VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct) registrations in the person register. The 2025 complaints annual report has been recovered after a recovery offer, but deadline monitoring remains a point of attention. The municipality is advised not to enforce due to measures taken.
