About this care
Welcome to KDV De Regenboog, location De Waldijk at Benningskamplaan 66 in Uitgeest. Since 1989 we have been providing trusted, small-scale daycare for children aged 0 to 4. Our location has three vertical groups (De Druppies, De Windhoos and De Zonnestraaltjes) and one toddler group (De Bliksem), each welcoming up to 16 children daily.
We use the VVE-recognized Uk & Puk program. Children develop language, social-emotional skills, motor skills and early math concepts through play. Every day we sing, read and explore themes that match the world of babies and toddlers. Our pedagogical staff offer trust, security and warmth so every child feels safe and has space to develop optimally.
We value open cooperation with parents and tailor our guidance to each family's situation. Care includes diapers, drinks, fresh fruit, lunch, vegetables and baby formula (Hero 1 and 2). Only dietary products are provided by parents. De Regenboog is open 51 weeks per year from 07:15 to 18:00 (extendable to 18:30 on request). Feel free to visit for a tour.Read more

- The externally hired pedagogical coach does not meet the qualification requirements under the Childcare Collective Labour Agreement (Article 1.50(1) and (2) Childcare Act)
- Insufficient qualified staff are deployed for the number of children in care; the staff-child ratio has not been demonstrated to be adequate (Article 1.49(1), 1.50(1) and (2) Childcare Act)
- The pedagogical coach deployed as qualified staff does not receive adequate coaching from a qualified pedagogical coach, meaning it has not been demonstrated that every staff member receives annual coaching (Article 1.50(1) and (2), 1.60c(1) Childcare Act)
Summary
On 28 July 2026, GGD Kennemerland conducted an unannounced follow-up investigation at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Stichting KDV De Regenboog in Uitgeest. This investigation followed a formal notice from the municipality dated 23 June 2026, in which the provider was given two weeks to remedy the violations. However, the provider did not cooperate with the investigation and failed to submit the requested information within the set deadline. The previously identified violations have not been remedied. The daycare center provides care for 61 children aged 0 to 4 years in two core groups.
