Welcome to BSO Dassenburcht, located at Dassenburcht 36 in the centre of Cuijk. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a homely setting that feels like one big family. Our qualified pedagogical staff are on hand every weekday from 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
We focus on each child’s personal development. We track progress in small steps and offer age-appropriate activities that match the child’s abilities and curiosity. We celebrate effort and trying, not just results. During school holidays we run free activity days for children from 4 years old, giving them the chance to play, explore and move together with friends.
Flexibility matters to parents. Our clear, affordable child-centred concept lets you add or cancel extra bookings whenever necessary. Payment is per quarter-hour through our free online booking system NIO. There are no enrolment or administrative fees.

Summary
BSO Dassenburcht in Cuijk (44 places, ages 4-13) was inspected unannounced on 29 October 2025. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) found that the location meets the statutory quality requirements in all examined areas – pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, parental rights. The pedagogical policy is clear, is discussed and coached, and visibly applied in practice: children are given space to make their own choices and develop their independence. All employees have a Certificate of Conduct (VOG), are registered and receive structural coaching. The safety and health policy is up to date, risks have been mapped and measures are complied with (example: gates monitored extra carefully during elections). First-aid qualification is always present. There is a functioning domestic violence reporting protocol and employees know their duty to report. Parents are well informed via website, app and intake; an active parent committee of seven members advises the board. Complaints are handled in accordance with regulations; in 2024 there was one complaint about this location which was resolved satisfactorily. The permanent team works in two base groups of maximum 22 children; written parental consent is present for exchanges. Each child has a mentor who follows their development. Holiday care takes place elsewhere. The municipal executive is advised not to take enforcement action.
