About this care
Sportpeuterwereld Drieburcht is the sporty toddler care centre located in the Drieburcht sports complex at Wagnerplein 1, Tilburg North. From age 2, toddlers are welcome to learn and move in a unique, playful way. We combine an early-years education programme (VE) with sports and exercise, so children not only discover letters, colours and shapes, but also develop their motor skills.
A morning with us starts with free play, followed by a joint circle time where we introduce the current theme. After enjoying fruit together, toddlers choose whether they want to do sports or crafts. Our rooms are specially designed with a dance studio, construction corner, doll corner and a large gym where we organise daily movement sessions. We also use the swimming pool for swimming lessons—no waiting list!
Our team consists of sport-pedagogy professionals who know how to let toddlers move and learn in a playful way. We work with themed ‘start blocks’ such as ‘Forest’ and end every morning with a story or song in the circle. Care is available from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM, perfectly matching the toddler rhythm. Being located in a sports complex allows us to offer an unparalleled sporty programme. Toddlers develop cognitively, socially and physically. We see children thrive both personally and motorically with us.
Whether you work or not, all 2- to 4-year-olds in Tilburg have access to our toddler provision. Feel free to drop by for a tour and experience the positive, sporty atmosphere where your child can grow!Read more
GGD Inspection
Violations
Inspection date: June 4, 2026
Strengths
- The pedagogical policy is put into concrete practice, with warm interactions and development-oriented activities
- Early childhood education is offered to a high standard through the Startblokken method, with sufficient hours and a good staff-child ratio
- The domestic violence and child abuse reporting protocol (meldcode) has been properly established and is known to staff
- Staff members hold the correct diplomas, early childhood education (VVE) certification, and language proficiency at level 3F
Violations
- A trainee was not registered in the Childcare Personnel Register (PRK) and not linked to the provider, despite being structurally present during childcare hours. The provider had insufficiently ensured that individuals are only deployed after PRK linkage.
Summary
Sportpeuterwereld Drieburcht in Tilburg, part of Mondiaen Kinderopvang B.V., is a subsidized daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) for 16 children aged 2 to 4 years with early childhood education. The annual inspection on 4 June 2026 showed a predominantly positive picture. The pedagogical quality, early childhood education, child abuse reporting protocol, and use of Dutch as the language of communication all meet the requirements. One violation was identified: a trainee was not registered in the Childcare Personnel Register (PRK) and not linked to the provider, meaning they were working unlawfully. The provider made use of the recovery offer, immediately rectified the registration, and tightened its internal policy. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises no enforcement action.
