About this care
Sport-BSO Valken is located in the new residential area ’t Duyfrak in Valkenburg, on the grounds of football club Valken ’68 at Duyfraklaan 9. We use a large part of the clubhouse, committee room, changing rooms and a full-size sports field of the association. In addition, we have access to the playgrounds of the nearby Broad School ’t Duyfrak. Our location can accommodate up to 52 children and has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 January 2010 under number 210988253.
Daily supervision of the children and the provision of sports activities are carried out by qualified pedagogical staff specialised in Sports and Movement. Each month focuses on a different sport, allowing children to become acquainted with a wide range of sports and games. We work closely with primary schools De Dubbelburg and De Burcht; children from these schools are generally placed at our after-school care. On Wednesdays and Fridays we cluster with BSO Rakkers, also located in ’t Duyfrak, so that together we can offer even more possibilities.
As part of KOK Kinderopvang, we share the vision that every child is unique and has the right to a safe, challenging and above all enjoyable environment in which they can develop optimally. Our location specifically targets children aged 4 to 12 who enjoy movement and sports. We offer a varied programme in which fun, cooperation and the development of motor skills are central.Read more

Summary
On 7 May 2026, GGD Hollands Midden (Municipal Health Service) conducted a follow-up inspection at Sport-BSO Valken in Valkenburg, an after-school care (BSO) for 52 children operated by Stichting KOK kinderopvang. This inspection followed an annual inspection on 24 November 2025 during which two violations were identified. The location has since taken sufficient measures to resolve both violations. The pedagogical policy has been amended so that children are now actually cared for in base groups rather than as one group of 52 children. The procedure regarding the Childcare Persons Register (PRK) has also been tightened, with all volunteers from the football club now required to obtain a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and be registered in the PRK before they may be present during care hours. The GGD advises the municipality of Katwijk not to take enforcement measures.
