About this care
Welcome to BSO Rakkers, located at Luit Katlaan 7 in the heart of Valkenburg. We are part of KOK Kinderopvang and provide after-school care for up to 62 children aged 4 to 12. Our location is situated within Brede school ’t Duyfrak, offering a seamless connection to primary education and allowing children to remain in their familiar school environment.
We are here for children after school hours, on teacher training days, and during all school holidays. Thanks to our central location in Valkenburg, we are easily accessible and provide a safe and familiar place for children. Together with Peuteropvang Peuterburg and Kindercentrum ’t Duyfrak, we share the same building, creating a warm and familiar atmosphere for children of different ages.
Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready to provide children with a safe and challenging environment where they can play, discover, and grow. We work according to the vision of KOK Kinderopvang and offer a wide range of activities that connect with the world of experience of primary school children.

Summary
The annual unannounced inspection of 20 July 2026 at after-school care (BSO) Rakkers in Valkenburg shows a positive picture. The after-school care, part of Stichting KOK Kinderopvang, accommodates up to 62 children aged 4 to 13 years at the Brede School 't Duyfrak. Across all three assessed domains – pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health – the location meets the statutory quality requirements. The pedagogical practice is characterised by sensitive interactions, in which staff support children in their personal and social development. Staff qualifications, Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) verifications, and staff-to-child ratios are in order. The safety and health policy is also adequately complied with, with always at least one person with a first aid certificate present. No points for improvement or violations were identified. The location manager agrees with the findings. The advice to the municipality of Katwijk is: no enforcement.
