About this care
Welcome to SKSG location UMCG, our daycare center located on the grounds of the University Medical Center Groningen, in the former nurses' residence. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in three groups: a baby group (0-2 years), a toddler group (2-4 years), and a mixed-age baby/toddler group (0-4 years).
Regular opening hours are 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. With an extended contract, care is available from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, ideal for parents working shifts at the UMCG.
Our location features a private breastfeeding room and an enclosed courtyard garden designed as a discovery and relaxation garden for babies and toddlers. In the baby group, we are inspired by the Emmi Pikler pedagogy, emphasizing free movement and individual attention. With toddlers, we use the VVE program Startblokken, focusing on play-based learning and seasonal themes.
SKSG UMCG offers flexible childcare for parents with varying schedules. Request your desired days before the 9th of the preceding month. The center is open Monday through Friday.Read more
