About this care
Peuterspeelzaal Robbedoes is situated at Achterstraat 7 in the centre of Nieuw-Beijerland. We are an officially recognised early childhood education (VE) centre where children aged 2 to 4 play, explore and grow in small, age-based groups. With a maximum of 16 children per day we keep the setting intimate and manageable so that every child receives the attention they deserve.
We follow the “KIJK-Peuters” tracking system. This allows us to monitor each child’s development closely and to tailor activities and play materials precisely to the needs of the toddler. For the older children we run a special 3+ group that meets on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 13:00 to 17:00. Here they can play with peers and practise the skills that prepare them for primary school in a playful way.
Close cooperation with parents is essential to us; we are always open to discussion and actively involve you in your child’s development. We work closely with IKC Onder de Wieken and School met de Bijbel to ensure a smooth transition to primary education.

Peuterspeelzaal Robbedoes in Nieuw-Beijerland, part of De Hoeksche School Kinderopvang, was inspected on 18 June 2026 during an unannounced annual inspection. The location provides preschool education (voorschoolse educatie) to 16 toddlers aged 2 to 4 years. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) concludes that the provider meets all assessed conditions. There is a relaxed, open atmosphere and staff respond warmly and supportively to the children. The pedagogical policy, safety and health policy, and child abuse reporting protocol are all in order. No areas for improvement or violations were identified. The previous annual inspection in 2024 resulted in one recovery offer regarding the description of activities where children may leave the group; this has since been resolved. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
