About this care
SKSG Barabas is our after-school care centre in the Oosterparkwijk district, located at Dirk Huizingastraat 13 in Groningen. We provide care for up to 40 primary-school children aged 4 to 13. After school, children can relax and take part in creative and technical activities focused on science and technology. We believe every child has unique talents, and we give them the space to discover and develop these. Summary
This inspection report concerns an unannounced incidental investigation at after-school care (BSO) SKSG Barabas in Groningen following a signal from continuous screening. A former employee, who had not worked there since July 2019, was still linked in the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang/PRK). Although this constitutes a violation of Article 15 of the National Childcare Register Decree (Besluit landelijk register kinderopvang), the unlinking obligation is not part of an inspection condition assessed by the Municipal Health Service (GGD). The provider took immediate action: the person was unlinked and an improvement plan was drawn up with measures for timely unlinking, including automatic alerts in the personnel system. The current PRK list will be cleaned up no later than 1 October 2026.
