At Gastouderland, you'll find small-scale childminder care (gastouderopvang) in a homely atmosphere. Your child is cared for by a registered childminder (gastouder) with whom you build a personal bond. Our regional consultant guides you in finding the right match and is always there for you. You only pay for the actual hours of care and are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). We offer flexible childcare options, also for parents with irregular working hours.

Gastouderland complies with the Childcare Act and is inspected annually by the Municipal Health Service (GGD). All childminders (gastouders) and household members over 18 have a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and are registered in the Childcare Persons Register. The care location is checked annually for safety and hygiene. We have an internal and external complaints procedure and are members of the Disputes Committee. - A risk assessment for safety and health is present and signed
- The childminder has knowledge of the reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse
- Action points from the action plan have been implemented (smoke detectors, fire blanket, escape plan, socket covers, storage of cleaning products)
Shortcomings
- The risk assessment must be supplemented with protocols for interaction with pets (dog and hamster) before childcare begins
- The future attic space as a play area must be included in the risk assessment when in use
Summary
This inspection report concerns an investigation for registration of a new childminder/host parent care (gastouderopvang/VGO) facility of Ms. Rooij van Doorn at Het Gildt 3 in Maasbommel. This is a first registration at this address for day care, after-school care and pre-school care for a maximum of six children. The childminder has already been registered in the LRK at other addresses since 2015. The inspection took place on 16 March 2026 and included document review, a site visit and interviews with the childminder and the childminder agency Gastouderland B.V.
