KDV de Optimist is a daycare centre in Vijfhuizen, located at Baarsjesweg 3, right next to primary school De Vijfsprong. We care for children aged 0 to 4 years with a permanent, committed team. We offer a warm and trusted environment where each child can develop at their own pace. The new building is fully integrated with the adjacent primary school, making the transition to group 1 very natural. Our pedagogical vision is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach: creativity is central. We offer many creative activities, and for toddlers, a dance and music teacher provides rotating workshops. We also use Beweegkriebels (movement impulses) for toddlers to stimulate indoor and outdoor movement. We have a vertical group structure: babies and toddlers aged 0 to 4 play together in the same group, providing calm, familiarity, and continuity. The daycare has its own outdoor space, separate from the school playground, so the youngest children can play outside in peace. We offer natural nutrition without added sugars, colourings, or flavourings. At lunchtime, all children eat a warm meal. Parents can count on professional parenting support: in addition to the regular care team, our pedagogues are available for tips and advice.
