Summary

Hero Peuteropvang Erasmuslaan 1 in Haarlem provides toddler daycare with early childhood education for 29 children aged 2-4 years. The annual Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection of 10 September 2025 concludes that the location scores well on almost all quality requirements: the pedagogical climate, staff, safety, health and parent involvement are in order. There is a coherent pedagogical policy, qualified staff, a functioning reporting code and good parent communication. However, the outdoor space is not accessible at all times because it is shared with two primary schools; fixed play times have been agreed. This situation has persisted since 2021, but the municipality sees no reason for enforcement because children play outside sufficiently every day and the purpose of the law is achieved. There is no parent committee, but the holder involves parents via newsletter, app and parent portal. No complaints were reported in 2024.
