Welcome to Hero Peuteropvang Spijkerboorpad, a warm and secure place for toddlers aged 2 to 4 in Haarlem-Noord. Our daycare centre at Spijkerboorpad 4 accommodates up to 16 children and has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 26 August 2019 under number 220377674. As part of Stichting Hero kindercentra, a non-profit social organisation, we are committed to giving every child a strong start every day. Our approach centres on learning through play. We use the recognised VVE programme ‘Uk en Puk’, a varied thematic programme that perfectly matches toddlers’ world of experience. Through songs, stories, play and creative activities we stimulate children’s language development, social skills and independence. Our experienced pedagogical staff lead small-scale groups in which every child is given space to develop at his or her own pace. The site is easy to reach, located near the Spaarneboog shopping centre, making drop-off and pick-up convenient for parents. We provide care on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The centre is closed on Friday. This morning care is specifically designed to prepare toddlers for primary school, and thanks to our close cooperation with local schools we ensure a smooth transition.
