Peuterspeelzaal Johan de Witt has been a trusted place for toddlers in Wassenaar for over 32 years. We are located in the characteristic Van Heeckerenhuis at Van Heeckerenstraat 2, where children aged 2 to 4 can play and discover in a safe and challenging environment. Our experienced pedagogical staff guide the children with great attention and care, allowing them to develop at their own pace. Play-based learning is central to our approach. We offer a rich variety of activities such as singing, arts and crafts, reading aloud and creative expression. We regularly go on discovery trips in the natural play environment around the house, where children can run, romp and learn about the world around them. During special moments like our annual gnome festival, we hide presents in the woods and sing songs together on a large picnic blanket. We work with horizontal groups, where toddlers of the same age play and learn together. This stimulates social development and allows us to perfectly tailor activities to the children's world of experience. Our playgroup is open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 11:30 AM, and on Wednesday and Friday mornings we also offer play opportunities. For parents who need extra childcare, there is the option to have children come two or three mornings per week. Registration can be done easily through KOV-net, after which your child will be placed on the waiting list.
