About this care
Welcome to Varabo Childcare B.V. located at Zijllaan 57 in Wassenaar. Since October 2022, we have been providing a homely and safe environment for children aged 0 to 4 at this location. Our daycare center is officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 876775040 and has a capacity of up to 26 children.
We operate two separate groups: a baby group for children aged 0 to 2.5 years and a toddler group for children aged 1.5 to 4 years. Each group has dedicated childcare professionals, ensuring your child sees familiar faces and experiences a sense of safety and security. In the baby group, we follow the home routine and fully adapt our care accordingly. Any changes are always discussed with you as a parent.
Our location features spacious play areas, a creative studio, and a large green garden with a vegetable patch. Children can play freely, explore, and learn here. We offer various activities such as yoga and dance lessons, and we pay great attention to nature and outdoor play. Warm meals and healthy snacks are included. For the youngest ones, we provide bottle feeding and ensure a quiet sleeping area.

Summary
GGD Haaglanden conducted an unannounced follow-up investigation on 19 January 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Varabo Kinderopvang B.V. in Wassenaar. This investigation took place in the context of the municipality's intention to issue an order for periodic penalty payments (last onder dwangsom). Three previously identified violations were reassessed. Two violations have been resolved: registration in the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang/PRK) and written consent for care in a second core group (stamgroep). One violation remains unresolved: the deployment of a staff member in training (BBL) does not comply with the Childcare Collective Labour Agreement (cao Kinderopvang), as the supervision plan does not contain written approval from the training supervisor. After the inspection visit, the license holder submitted the diploma of the BBL trainee (dated 26-01-2026), but this was not the case at the time of inspection. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipal executive (college van burgemeester en wethouders) to enforce in accordance with the enforcement policy.
