About this care
Peuterspeelzaal 'Jij en ik' in Munnekezijl offers small-scale toddler playgroup care for children aged 2 to 4 years. We are located in the primary school at Zijlstraat 2 and maintain a warm relationship with the school. The playgroup provides an excellent preparation for primary school.
We work with themes that connect to the children's world. Children can choose whether to join the activities or play freely. We follow the children's interests and build our themes around them. We value children's own input and work with it.
Our morning starts with drop-off between 8:45 and 9:00 AM. We begin together in a circle with singing, name recognition, and language or math activities. Then we have a snack at the big table. Around 10:00 AM we start activities like painting, gluing, drawing, building, or puzzles. After 11:00 AM we play outside on the spacious playground with a sandbox, scooters, and bikes. Children are picked up at 12:00 PM.
The playgroup has its own classroom with a wide selection of materials including a slide, water table, doll corner, kitchen corner, tractors, bikes, and sandbox. We work with permanent staff who care for the children with passion and love. Parents provide their own fruit, cookies, and drinks, as well as diapers, wipes, and spare clothes.
